Frequently Asked Questions
Billing and Payment
When we have finished cleaning your windows, and once you have inspected our work and are fully satisfied, our workers will give you an invoice. Payment with cash, the check is due upon completion of work unless prior arrangements have been made.
Do I need to be home?
First time customers are strongly urged to be home. We would like you to see how we perform the services, and to be available for any questions. After that we work with you to find the best solutions to suits your needs.
Are all of your workers fully insured?
We’re licensed and carry $5 million liability policy, state fund worker’s compensation and disability insurance. Not all window cleaners do this, so be sure to ask for an insurance certificate before allowing anyone to work on your property, it can save you and your building a lot of money. Certificate of insurance available upon request.
Can I trust the workers?
We are fully insured and bonded. We go to great lengths to hire only responsible individuals. We pride ourselves in our staff and their experience.
Can windows be cleaned in the winter?
Yes! Window cleaning is even more important during the winter season. Road salt turns into an air borne powder from the vehicles driving over it. This dust settles on your windows just as any other type of dust does. We follow proper safety guidelines to ensure your winter service will be completed safely and to your complete satisfaction.
Doesn’t rain make my windows dirty?
Dirt makes your windows dirty not rain. The dust from landscapers, tree pollen, exhaust, and many other sources settles on your windows. Rain drops move the dirt around your windows and after the rain dries the dirt remains on the glass. This residue is now very visible because it’s been spread over the window. Clean windows remain clean after the rain because once the water dries there is nothing left behind to obscure your view.
What if it rains on my scheduled cleaning day?
On days when the weather is in question, the customer may contact us. We closely monitor the current weather conditions. We always try to find the best solutions for you.
In the event of light precipitation we will continue as scheduled because rain does not effect the cleaning. In the event of heavy rain or showers, we will return within 1 to 2 days to finish the work started. We give reminder calls the day before all appointments.
How often should I get my windows cleaned?
We recommend every 3 months or with the change of season. With this interval, your windows should stay relatively clean and unspotted because they’ve been maintained.
Cleanliness
Our technicians uses very little water, and we make every effort to avoid spilling any water or leaving a mess into your home. Our workers will gladly wear shoe covers to protect your carpet or floor while working inside your home if you request it.
Moving Household items?
We understand that your household items are valuable to you and would not want to be responsible for their damage. Therefore, we ask that you remove any items that are either attached to the windows ,on the sills or furniture located in front of the windows to minimize the risk of breakage or water damage.
Though it is easier to clean a window with no curtains, it is not necessary for window treatments to be removed in most cases. However, if a window is trimmed with a full panel, it may have to be removed. Many customers find this to be a convenient time to clean their curtains and remove them prior to our arrival for that purpose.
Are your cleaning products safe?
Our products are home-safe and biodegradable. We do not use any ammonia or alcohol-based solutions that could affect flooring or home fabrics.
What materials are used in the window cleaning process?
We use a soft strip washer for scrubbing and wetting windows, a concentrated window cleaning solution , a variety of different size squeegees with new rubbers in them, and dry lint free towels to wipe squeegee between strokes, and to wipe excess water around pane.
What makes my windows dirty?
Inside your home airborne dirt from heating & cooling systems, fingerprints, pet smudges and cooking residue all collect on your window surfaces forming a hazy layer. Outside your home other contaminants such as dust blown from the wind and lawn machinery, bird droppings, acid rainfall and tree pollen obscure your view.
